About Cayla
Welcome! I’m Cayla—part poet, part tech tinkerer, part artist, and just the right amount of spooky. I pride myself as someone who refuses to pick just one lane.
Powered by caffeine, curiosity, a touch of pagan spirit, and whatever song is stuck in my head, I thrive in the space where art and tech collide. Call me a jack-of-all-trades if you like—but I prefer “creative problem-solver with too many tools to count.”
I’ve spent the last 15 years weaving words, pixels, sounds, and sawdust into stories. From poetry and digital art to site design and electronic music production—with four years of woodworking (plus a childhood of splinters and crooked nails)—I’ve never been afraid to explore. At the heart of it all is one thing:
I love turning ideas into something real.
Inspiration rarely waits for perfect timing. Because of that, I’ll happily sketch an idea on a napkin, a receipt, or the back of a grocery list.
Some days it’s the quiet of late nights, other times it’s the energy of midday sun, but music—and a deep connection to nature and ritual—always helps me make sense of it all. For me, creative expression isn’t just something I do—it’s something I need, a way to let my soul flourish where and when it sees fit.
My superpower is bridging the gap between technology and creativity—taking complex ideas and turning them into something approachable, human, and hopefully even a little fun. While I like to poke fun at myself, when it comes to projects, I don’t stop until they feel right. Great work doesn’t need red tape—it needs dedication, flexibility, and a dash of humour.
I’m Nova Scotia born and based, and I love keeping my work rooted in this community: authentic, approachable, and people-first.
I’m also LGBTQ+ friendly, queer-identifying myself, and
walk a pagan path—guided by nature, grounding, and intention. I believe good work flourishes when it’s rooted and cared for, which is why inclusivity and kindness aren’t just buzzwords; they’re part of who I am.
If you’re looking for someone who can troubleshoot your laptop, draft your design on the closest piece of paper, and still be tweaking the details until it’s perfect—you’ve found the right person.
Let’s build something magical together.
